Bunnies In The Snow

Hi Everyone,
I would like to share with you one of the paper card kits by Beatrix-Potter on the Crafter's Companion Site. This one is called Beatrix-Potter-Papercrafting--Easel-Card-Kit, and it is wonderful. This is the one I chose to make:

The kit comes with the pretty easels to stand the card on, as well as all the pictures. All you have to do is pop them out, add a few embellishments and done. How nice would that be for someone to look at from there bedside and know you are thinking about them. The kit also comes with the envelopes to mail them.
To find this kit and so many more, stop by the Crafters's Companion Store
and take a look.
Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look.
And Have a scrappy day.

Sunday Dinner

Hi Everyone,

I hope all of you are having a great Sunday.

A good friend of mine (Jennifer) made a loaf
of banana bread, and I wanted to share the recipe with you. Thank you Jennifer for this awesome recipe.

Ingredients

  • 3 or 4 ripe bananas, smashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar (can easily reduce to 3/4 cup)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour

Method

No need for a mixer for this recipe. Preheat the oven to 350°F. With a wooden spoon, mix butter into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Add the flour last, mix. Pour mixture into a buttered 4x8 inch loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool on a rack. Remove from pan and slice to serve.
 Makes one loaf.

OH MY GOODNESS, that looks so good! That would go so well with a big glass of milk. I hope everyone tries this bread recipe. Thank you again Jennifer for the time you took to make this awesome yummy bread...

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
And have a wonderful Sunday!

Sunday Dinner

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone is having a great day.
Today, this is what we are going to be making.

My daughter and I went to a little restaurant called "Lake Manor" for our birthdays.
This is what we had, only Jenn had a cheese burger inside and I had a country fried steak.

I thought this would be great for the guys to have a large platter of these to watch the football game.

I made mine with country fried pork loin.

To stare out I purchased 2, 1 inch pork loin
chops butterflied, tenderized them, and pounded the heck out of them, lol.

Then  dipped them in seasoned four,
( salt, pepper, season salt, garlic salt,
and a little cyan pepper). then in egg and butter milk mixed together, then panko
bread crumbs. I fried them in a pan with about 1/2 inch peanut oil.

Then make a package of bacon in the same pan.

Now that is one pork patty, you make 2 sandwiches out of that. I made 2  patties.
If you cut 2 sandwiches into 4 you have 16
yummy bites on a large platter to feed the guys.

You can put anything you like inside.
Cheese burgers, country fried chicken, steak or pork, even fried shrimp or lobster if you like.
The sky is the limit.

Next the grilled cheese. You make two, one for each side, I used Texas toast bread.
I used American and Hot Pepper cheese on one and American and Colby on the other.
you can use any cheese you like, just make sure it's good and cheesy!!

Then just put together.

One grilled cheese, a little mayo or mustard or what you like, I used a little mayo mixed with horseradish, then I put 3 pieces of bacon cut in half, then the pork patty, tomato, onion and the other grilled cheese.

With the pan drippings I made a pepper gravy to dip them in. I figured if you are going to
pig out, you might as well go all the way!!  LOL!!

You can also just serve half a sandwich with
a nice salad or corn on the cob, and have a great lunch or dinner.

Don't forget to have a DIET coke with that!
LOL!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by
and taking a look.

Have a great Sunday.

Butterflies And Flowers

Hi Everyone,

Today I am going to make a thank you card. Crafter's Companion
has all kinds of
paper products, and I am going to use the Morehead-Fancy-Scalloped-Rocker-Cards-Kit

Here is my project.

I started out with a heavy piece of
card stock, and covered it with some wall paper samples I found in one of the many books I have. ( you can get the old books at any wall paper place, they just throw them away).
Then I picked out one of the pretty pictures
to play with. I arranged them on the card,
added some flowers and a bow, and the front is done.

For the inside I covered the card with
matching wall paper and added the sentiment.

Now how easy this that !!
Faster than going to the store, and so much more personal.

I hope you enjoyed the project today.
Pop over to the Crafter's Companion Store
and check it out.

Thank you so much for stopping by
today and taking a look.

And as always have a scrappy day.
