Crafter's Companions HOP! HOP! HOP!

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the Crafter's Companion Scavenger Hunt Blog Hop!!

I'm so happy you hopped by today!! Before we get started I wanted to share with you the project I made today. I used the CD-ROM from the Beatrix Potters Line of products, called Two Bad Mice. This Cd is out now, check it out.
The CD is very easy to use. Let me walk you through it step by step. After putting the disk in the computer just pick a menu, next find what you want to make and just print it out and then cut and glue.Yes it's that easy. Now you just need to embellish and you're done.

This is what I came up with:

Now let's get you started on the Scavenger Hunt! There are 12 design team members and each of us have a question that will give you clues to 12 different items that you can find in the Crafter's Companion Store.

So your goal is to hop around to all 12 blogs and get all 12 questions and then hop over to the Crafter's Companion Store to find the answers. After you have found the answers you will then put them in an email to Bindy at bindy@crafterscompanion.com.

If you do that and follow the other requirements which I will tell you in a minute you will be entered into the drawing to win the Grand Prize which is the entire Peter the Rabbit Collection of Stamp Sets!! This will add up to 9 (!) awesome stamp sets!

Along the way each designer will have a project to inspire you and also the possibility to win on their individual blogs too!! Each designer is giving away a Cute Companions -Romance stamp set, two embossing powders (one white and one blush rose) and one sheet of EZ mount foam!





This blog hop will run from Friday, April 20th at midnight PST and end at midnight PST on Sunday, April 22nd. Winners will be announced on the Crafter's Companion Informational blog on Tuesday April 24th.

Gift Container for Dad's Day

Hello Everyone,

I have a wonderful sneak peek at some

new Father's Day stamps.

Yes Father's Day!!

UP DATE- THEY ARE HERE NOW !

Stamp It Australia, has come out with these great

masculine stamps

you can use for Father's day.

This way, you can work on your projects and not be in

a big hurry to get them done.

I know some of you have more than two or three

 cards to make. This way you can take your time.

Today I am making an altered container to hold a gift.

I started out with a gift container you

would put a bottle of wine in.

First I pulled out some of my beautiful mulberry paper. 

Then I used the

 Overlapping Text Stamp 

to fill three sheets of paper.

After letting them dry, I brushed the

container with shimmer Mod Podge and

glued the pieces down. Then went over the top

with the same product to give it a nice shimmer.

I put a piece of black and gold mulberry paper

on the lid and let everything dry.

For the tag to go with the gift, I used

the Dad's Day and Valued Time stamps.

Just stamp them on white card stock,

airbrush with the Spectrum-Noir Markers,

color in the time piece and your done.

The person I'm giving this to doesn't

like wine, so I filled it with his favorite candy.

Here is the finished project.

Paintbox Poppets CD

Hi Everyone.

Today I wanted to show you one

of the many Cd's that

 Crafter's Companion has in stock.

This one is called

Paintbox Poppets.

This Cd is so easy to use, just pop

it into your Cd drive and a menu will

appear. Click on

what you would like to make. Then just

print, cut, glue and embellish.

I picked this wonderful frame card.

Printed it out on glossy card stock.

Then cut out all the pieces and put it together.

I embellished with Flower Soft,

and some white die cut swirls.

The die cut is called Fancy Flourish,

and it is from a company called

My Favorite Things.

That's it! No inks, stamps, markers

or mess. So easy and fast!!

You can make a card faster

than it would take to drive to

 the store and buy one.

All of the Cd's are like this.

They are great for the kiddos.

And there are 100's of images

to chose from.

 This is what I made today,

Spring Day

Hi Everyone,

Crafter's Companion

  has just released these

great new stamps from

Art-Kure

They are all kinds of wonderful flowers.

Today I am going to use the Daffodil, and the Iris,

two of my favorites.

I started out with a piece of black card stock

and layered two different pretty spring papers on top.

Added butterflies and a die cut window from

spellbinders to put the flowers in.

For the flowers, I stamped one set of the Iris, and two sets of the

Daffodiles on white card stock. Then

colored them in with my Spectrum-Noir Markers.

Then I cut all three sets out.

I put the iris on double foam squares to pop it

off the page. Then with the daffodils I

took one set and cut just the flowers out,

and added them to the other set to

make one big bunch of daffodils.

Put them right beside the others, also with

double foam squares.

This gives it more of a 3-D effect.

To finish up I put lavender sprigs with yellow

flowers in two corners, and done.

This set is from the

 Mike Gross-Britain In Bloom line.

I love this set of stamps, you can buy just

the ones you want.

They are all individual, and come in

large and small sizes.
