The Theme This Month Is Flowers

Hi Everyone,

Today I want to tell you about the

This month the theme is flowers.

All you have to do is, use a
and make a project using flowers.

The contest starts today and
ends the last day of May.
You can enter up to three times.
Make sure you are a member of the blog,
a resident of the U.S., and that you use one of the Crafter's Companion stamps.

The designers have made some wonderful
projects, pop over and take a look.

This month I made a little gift box,
with the Fairyopolis
decoupage and a fenced in
garden of roses.

I started out making the box with the
and 2 sheets of
The first sheet I cut a 6 x 8 piece of
card stock, and scored it
at 2 inches and 6 inches.
Then turned and scored
2 inches and 4 inches.

Then cut as shown.

For the second piece of card stock
I cut it out at 4 x 6. And scored
the long side at 1 inch and at 5 inches. Turned and scored at 1 inch and 3 inches.

Then cut as shown.

Then just fold the end up as
shown, and use a  good liquid glue.
 Hold together with paper clips,
until dry.

The 2 little pieces at the bottom are
cut 1 x 2 and they go on the
inside of the lid, on the ends,
 to cover the  folded flaps.

When dry, take the clips off,
and put the lid on the box.

Then just embellish the lid.
I used a die from Die-namics,
called wood grain fence. Cut out 3 strips
and glue together end to end, then wrap
it around the box and glue.

Fill it with flowers and fairies,
add a sentiment and your done.

Then sentiment stamp I used is from the Beatrix Potter line of stamps.
I added the 2 little carrots, because
what's a garden without veggies,
:) LOL:)

I hope you liked the project today,
and give the little box a try.
The only thing that matters when
you're in your craft room, is having fun!!!

I am here to help, as are all the designers.
We all love comments.
And if you have a better way of
doing something, please let me know.
I love to learn!!

Thank you for stopping by.
And Have a scrappy day.

Fun In The Sun

Hi everyone,

I am so excited today!
This week we are getting the new Humphrey Stamps.

These stamps are so adorable!
I started out by stamping 2 of the
swing set images on white card stock.
Then colored them in with my
Spectrum-Noir Markers and cut
them both out with my Xacto knife.
Did the same with the tree.
(tree is not in stamp set)
I glued the first set down with
Mono-Multi Glue.
I put foam dots on the tree to
give it a little dimension.

Added brown twine for the rope
on the swing, then cut out the
 elephants head, legs, and hands.
I overlapped the hands, so she looks
like she's holding the rope.
Then put the remainder of the
pieces on with the foam dots.

For the leaves on the tree,  grass and
flowers, I used flower soft.

For the sky and grass I just airbrushed
with splashes of blue and green.

When it was all dry, I mounted
the card on pink card stock,
then on a piece of black chipboard.

The sentiment, is stamped on
2 triangles, then cut, put on pop
dots for that 3-D look.

Add a little bumble bee
And your done.

There will be 12 sets in all.
Crafter's Companion has all
kinds of wonderful stamps.
They also have markers, paper,
embellishments, and so on. But the best part is they have the best people
on staff to answer any questions
 you may have.

Also, there is still time to make
a project for the
Crafter's Companion Challenge Blog
pop over and take a look.

I hope you enjoyed the project
this week.

Thank you for stopping by.
&
Have a scrappy day.
