The Theme this month is Holidays

                                Hi everyone

Crafter's Companion is having a wonderful contest
this month. Please pop over to crafterscompanion-challenge. and take a look.

The theme this month is holidays. Just make a project with a holiday theme and enter. My card this month
this for Christmas, go figure.

I was looking on you-tube and found a side step
card. There are all kinds of ways to make them. I combined a few, and this is what I came up with.
I Started out with 2 sheets of Christmas card stock from DCWV called Mrs.Claus's Kitchen . With help from you-tube I found directions. I used the Crafter's Companion  Ultimate-Tool and made the score marks for cutting and folding.
The first sheet I used to make the card, the second I used to cut out figures to make them 3-D. The recipe card was also from the card stock. I haven't made the cookies yet but there is still time before Christmas. The winter scene was made from a package of buttons, I just cut the shanks off the back. The snow is made with a little glue and Martha Stewart flocking powder.

The stamp I used this time is from the   Adorables set.

I just love these stamps.  This set is called Caring..                     The "north pole" sign post and the "Santa Claus is coming to town" sentiment fit perfectly. I used watercolor pencils to color in the sign post and  pop dots for a 3-D effect on the Santa sign.

Crafter's Companion has great tools and stamps to make  all kinds of great gifts. You can go to  the  Card Gallery  where the designers have amazing ideas.  There is also a  Project page and  Free Downloads.  They  have a  Membership-Rewards plan with free enrollment. You  get points for free merchandise and other goodies just for shopping. Hop over and check it out.

I am glad you stopped by. Have a scrappy day!!

                  Hi Everyone

I just wanted to show you another page that I made
with the My Memories Software. The Contest is still in full swing. Just a few more days.
My daughter took this picture of her cat looking at itself in the mirror. I just had to use this picture to show you how the bubble shape works. I think this is what the cat was thinking. The software makes it so easy to put shapes, and even music with your pictures.
I hope you like the Page.

                                   And have a scrappy day!

FRIENDS FOREVER

                        Hi Everyone:

Welcome back. Today I made a card that reminds me
of my Mom. I love the books by Beatrix Potter. Peter Rabbit was my favorite.
It would be cold and snowy, mom would have hot chocolate waiting for my brother and I, after a good old fashion snowball fight. We would run into her arms and there would be hugs for everyone. She was the best!!

When  Crafter's Companion  came out with these wonderful stamps, I was so happy. They have the entire set.

The set I used today is called  A Winter's Tale . They are so sweet.

I started out stamping peter and his mom on white paper. Then the little snow flakes. I colored them in with copic markers. Then found a little stamp with the friends and scroll work. I used vera mark and mixed blue and silver embossing powder, and the heat gun. The card is made from my favorite paper, yes you guessed it,parchment. Specialty Paper's Plus  has a great selection of paper. This paper works so well with the Ultimate Tool by Crafter' Companion. Parchment paper folds well and is very strong, no white centers to show through. There is a great coupon to the right, just put in the code "HAPPYHOLIDAYS"  when you check out and you will get 10% off the parchment paper order. They also have a great deal on shipping.

The theme this month is friendship.   There are so many wonderful entries. If you would like to take a look go to the Crafter's Companion Blog. The prize this month is from the Humpfrey Collection.  They are the  so cute. Take a look.

I know they are a little small. Go over to Humphrey-EZMount-Stamp-Set-Bundle  and see all the amazing stamps.
